Arcual – Backoffice redesign for the art market
Frontend redesign of Arcual’s backoffice, a platform used by galleries and art institutions for operational and commercial workflows. The work focused on UI structure, component boundaries and maintainability in a system that was already in production.
About the client
Arcual develops digital infrastructure for the art market, with tools that support sales, contracts and operational processes for galleries, artists and institutions.
Project Overview
The existing backoffice had evolved on top of a generic admin layout that no longer matched the product’s real workflows. My role was to rebuild the frontend interface without interrupting day-to-day product development. I created custom Vue components and shared patterns for tables, forms and operational screens, so new features could be assembled from tested building blocks instead of starting from scratch each time.
The Challenge
The application was already in production and the team kept shipping new features. The redesign therefore had to be introduced gradually, without a large rewrite and without breaking existing workflows. Component boundaries had to follow the real business logic rather than a theoretically perfect architecture.
My Contribution
I led the frontend redesign, defined the Vue component structure and turned design decisions into reusable patterns. I worked with product and design so each new UI element could be reused where it genuinely made sense.
