Netguru S.A. – Web, Mobile & Dashboard Applications
Senior frontend and full-stack work on Netguru web and mobile applications, across several clients at once. Dashboards, mobile-ready interfaces, and leading a frontend team of five inside a distributed agency.

About the client

Netguru is an international digital agency building web and mobile products for startups and enterprises. Multi-team, distributed, many projects running in parallel.

Project Overview

Agency work is a different job from product work. I was on several client projects at once, each with its own stack, deadline and idea of what done means. The one I spent most time on was a web application for warehouse operations: workforce management, internal process tooling, dashboards for the people running a shift. Unglamorous software that somebody depends on at 6am.The rest of the role was the part agencies rarely put in the job description. Getting up to speed on an unfamiliar codebase in days rather than weeks, working alongside designers, backend engineers and product managers who each had their own picture of the thing, and making architectural calls that had to hold up against a delivery date. You learn to judge how much architecture a project can afford. Too little and the second phase is a rewrite. Too much and you miss the date that paid for the work.

The Challenge

Running several projects at once is mostly a context-switching problem. Different stacks, different business rules, different levels of mess, and the cost is not the work itself but the reload time between them.Leading frontend inside distributed teams added the rest. Coordinating with backend services, keeping the frontend consistent across people in different time zones, and bringing less experienced developers along without slowing the schedule down.

My Contribution

Senior frontend and full-stack developer, and frontend lead for a team of five.I designed and implemented frontend architecture, built the harder interfaces, and owned code quality across projects. The lead part meant code review, mentoring, and getting a set of practices agreed rather than assumed.Where it was needed I worked on the backend in Node.js. Mobile and cross-platform went through Ionic and Capacitor, plus progressive web apps for clients who wanted app behaviour without an app store.

Technology Stack

  • Vue.js, Node.js, Ionic, Capacitor, Progressive Web Apps (PWA), frontend architecture, full-stack web and mobile development, agency-scale product delivery
