Troop Travel – Group Travel Planning & Approval Platform
Frontend contribution to Troop Travel, a SaaS platform designed to help companies plan, approve and manage group business travel. The platform streamlines complex travel workflows by centralizing trip planning, stakeholder approvals and cost visibility within a single application.

About the client

Troop Travel is a B2B SaaS company focused on simplifying group and business travel planning for organizations. The platform enables teams to coordinate trips, manage approvals and maintain visibility over travel-related decisions and costs.

Project Overview

Troop Travel is designed to solve the complexity of organizing group travel in a business context, where multiple stakeholders, approval flows and constraints are involved. The platform allows users to propose trips, compare travel options and route decisions through structured approval workflows. The application supports collaboration between travelers, managers and finance teams, ensuring transparency and alignment before bookings are finalized. By centralizing communication and decision-making, the platform reduces friction commonly associated with group travel planning. From a frontend perspective, the platform includes complex forms, dynamic state handling and conditional user flows that adapt based on user roles and approval status. These interfaces are critical to guiding users through multi-step planning and approval processes. The overall experience is optimized for clarity and usability, ensuring that business users can efficiently navigate travel proposals, approvals and trip details without unnecessary complexity.

The Challenge

One of the main challenges was implementing frontend interfaces that accurately reflected complex business logic and approval workflows. User actions and available options changed dynamically based on role, status and context, requiring careful state management and component design. Ensuring consistency and maintainability across a growing frontend codebase was also essential, particularly in a SaaS environment where features evolve continuously and must remain reliable for daily business use.

My Contribution

I contributed as a frontend developer to the Troop Travel application, working with Vue.js to implement and maintain user-facing features across the platform. My work focused on building custom reusable components and supporting complex user flows related to travel planning and approvals. I collaborated with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into functional frontend interfaces, ensuring that workflows remained clear and intuitive despite underlying complexity. Throughout my contribution, I focused on code quality, component reusability and consistency, helping maintain a scalable frontend architecture suitable for an evolving SaaS product.
