Flovi Oy – Logistics Backoffice Redesign
Frontend redesign and architectural redevelopment of the Flovi backoffice platform, supporting digital car logistics operations across multiple countries. The project focused on improving usability, scalability and operational clarity through a UX-driven approach and a modern frontend stack.

About the client

Flovi Oy is a Finnish technology company specializing in digital car logistics, providing a platform that connects companies needing vehicle transfers with freelance drivers. The company operates across Finland, Sweden and Poland and rebranded from Biila Solutions Oy to Flovi Oy in 2025 to reflect its growth and product focus.

Project Overview

Flovi operates a technology-driven logistics platform that manages vehicle relocations between dealerships, rental companies and service providers. A critical component of this ecosystem is the internal backoffice system used to manage transfers, drivers, partners and operational workflows across multiple markets. This project focused on the complete redesign and frontend re-architecture of the Flovi backoffice application. The goal was to improve usability, reduce operational friction and support the company’s growing scale as it expanded into new markets and integrated additional logistics operations. The redesign was driven by close collaboration with a UX designer, translating new UX concepts into a scalable and maintainable frontend implementation. Particular attention was given to information hierarchy, workflow clarity and consistency across complex operational screens. The resulting backoffice platform supports daily logistics operations, enabling internal teams to efficiently manage vehicle transfers, monitor driver activity and maintain visibility across a growing, multi-country logistics network.

The Challenge

One of the main challenges was redesigning a mature backoffice system while preserving existing business logic and operational reliability. The platform supports mission-critical logistics workflows, requiring careful architectural decisions and incremental improvements. Supporting expansion across multiple countries added further complexity, as the system needed to remain flexible enough to accommodate evolving operational requirements while maintaining a consistent and intuitive user experience.

My Contribution

I worked as a frontend engineer on the Flovi platform, focusing on the redesign and re-architecture of the backoffice application. My work included implementing the new UX vision using Nuxt and Vue.js, building scalable UI structures and ensuring long-term maintainability. I collaborated closely with the UX designer to translate designs into production-ready components, using PrimeVue for complex interface elements and Tailwind CSS for layout, spacing and visual consistency. Throughout the project, I contributed to frontend architectural decisions, ensuring that the redesigned backoffice could support Flovi's growth, new market expansion and increasing operational complexity.
