Who I am
I’m Stelios Kitziris, a freelance software engineer based in Athens, Greece, operating as OFFLINE (offline-web.com). I’m the data controller for any personal data collected through this website. You can reach me at info@offline-web.com.
What data I collect and why
Contact form
When you use the contact form, I collect your name, email address, subject, phone number (optional), and the content of your message. I use this data for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering messages you choose to send me (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Newsletter
If you subscribe to my newsletter, I collect your email address. I use it to send you occasional emails about Vue.js development and my work. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email. Newsletter delivery is handled by Mailchimp (Intuit Inc., USA) — see their privacy statement.
Analytics
I use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use this site (pages visited, approximate location, device type). IP addresses are not stored by GA4. This data is aggregated and doesn’t identify you personally. See Google’s privacy policy.
Spam protection
The contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which collects technical data (IP address, browser information, interaction patterns) to distinguish humans from bots. This is subject to Google’s privacy policy and terms.
Cookies
This site uses technical cookies required for caching and performance (LiteSpeed), and analytics cookies set by Google Analytics. Technical cookies don’t require consent; you can block analytics cookies through your browser settings without affecting how the site works.
Who has access to your data
I don’t sell, rent, or share your personal data with anyone for marketing purposes. Data is processed by the following service providers acting on my behalf: Hostinger (web hosting, EU servers), Google (Analytics, reCAPTCHA), and Mailchimp (newsletter, only if you subscribe). Where data is transferred outside the EU (Google, Mailchimp), the transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
How long I keep your data
Contact form messages are kept in my email for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up, then deleted. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained by Google Analytics for 14 months.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email me at info@offline-web.com — I’ll respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr).
Changes to this policy
If I change how this site handles personal data, I’ll update this page and the date at the top.
